Safety Catch

In recent times, the terms 'safety' and 'security' have been constantly with us. Safety Catch features new work by leading Australian designers on the theme of security.
The works range from small objects to large installations, from the serious to the light-hearted. These designers go beyond the usual parameters of aesthetics and usability, using design to propose new strategies and challenge conventional values.
Safety Catch is part of the Powerhouse Museum's international design festival Sydney Design 2006 (SD06), and is curated by Berto Pandolfo.
